Who We Are

Who We Are

Core Prospects is a family owned and run organisation, created over eighteen years ago by Effie Beccles.

Effie was joined later by her son Leon who manages the support side and further growth of the developing enterprise.

A loyal and experienced staff team has developed over the years and the services provided by Core prospects has grown to include care and support for a widening range of learning disability and mental health issues. Core Prospects has a CQC Good rating, an Investors in People award and is a part of BILD working with Positive Behavioural Support.

Registered Manager

Our CQC Registered Manager and Director of Operations is Effie Beccles, who has a degree with Honours in Community Care Management. She is also a trained Social Worker with over 30 years in the health and social care field. Effie has worked with several local authorities in London at different social work and mental health support positions. Effie set up Core Prospects after seeing a gap in the local market and wanting to use her experience and specialised knowledge to help those across communities who were not able to source the residential and outreach support services that they needed.

Leon Beccles

(CQC Nominated Individual and Director of Business)

Our CQC nominated Individual and Business Director Leon Beccles has over 14 years’ experience working in social care, including working with youth offenders. Having a personal interest in marketing and business development, Leon oversees the sustainable growth of Core Prospects. He is responsible for the management of the Business, Human Resources, Finance and IT. Leon has worked with a software development company to design a computer system specific to the needs of Core Prospects; providing the staff team with a secure, robust and efficient system allowing them to access service user information remotely for efficient service provision.

Whilst Leon’s focus is on a business model that is resilient, innovative and shaped by feedback from our stakeholders, his respect for staff and Service Users alike, and honest style of communication, further promotes excellent relationships across the organisation.

Leon has a BSC with Honours in Business and is currently working towards an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 5 Diploma.

Our Support Workers

All our staff receive mandatory training and are required to complete the Care Certificate (Skills for care) as part of their induction programme. We believe in values-based recruitment to match the needs of our Service Users taking into consideration the diverse make up of our community. We are committed to investing in the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of our staff, with the aim that all achieve at least a level 3 Diploma in Health and social Care.

We work with BILD to provide the necessary training such as Positive Behaviour support to enable us to understand and manage behaviour that challenges.

Our Vision statement

The hopes and dreams of our service users come to fruition, their disabilities no longer a barrier to them having fulfilling and active lives. It is our role to inspire change and enable service users to manage their own lives as independently as possible and develop and use their own abilities.

The future we envision is one where those with disabilities are treated as equals, and they and their families are able to access the support they need – when they need it. A society where social care, supported living and those benefitting from it are truly recognised and valued.
